No, they are currently just requiring export licenses "to get an overview". Up to now, all export requests have been granted and there are large parts of the world where no license is required: https://www.tagesschau.de

Paying teachers more is beside the point. A well-paid teacher isn't suddenly a better teacher just because it earns more money. The things we should invest in are more teachers, smaller and more separated classes and better teachers&#x

On teacher selection. In Germany, public school teachers are state officials, meaning they are completely impossible to get rid of (even after some kinds of criminal convictions). We literally had a teacher who wasn't allowed to teach

While I agree with the article about the problems of profit-driven schools, the whole situation (and the article in parts) points to a imho bigger problem in most education systems: Profit-driven schools cater to the more able, easier to ed

Well, from that issue from 2020-12-24: "--ipv6 has not landed yet", so you cannot assign static external v6 adresses to a container. No activity on that bug since. There is tons of stuff in docker that works automatically, where i

Even less IPv6 support than docker. With docker you can at least get it to work somehow, even if it is totally different from IPv4, weirdly. Podman just has no IPv6 support to speak of.

I didn't mean to say the EU should enforce a timezone. The EU didn't get involved at all after the decision to get rid of DST. Not even by providing guidance or suggestions for the new timezone layout. Usually when there is someth

Exactly. Miners will decide to continue mining. Probably in just the right amount such that inflation/deflation is controlled enough to create sustained profits for them. Thus basically acting like a central bank.

The EU is currently one timezone for most of its area, the whole continent excluding Portugal (edit: and Finland, Greece, Baltic states) has the same timezone. But actually it should be 3 or 4 timezones if you want to be close to solar time

Those popups are not only necessary for cookies but for any kind of tracking that requires consent, e.g. all tracking for purposes of advertisements. So if you do browser fingerprinting instead of setting cookies, you still need that popup.

I think the chances that it is unsafe are zero. Someone in the UK would have noticed by now, they vaccinated quite a lot of people. The interesting question that needs to be answered is: to what degree does it work, and for which groups? Of
