I just try to be practical and make them protected so they can be called from the test class which lives in the same package. Perhaps adding a @VisibleOnlyForTesting annotation. The reality is that these private functions are building block

Many countries have plurinominal representatives. They are not elected for a geographic district since many groups may not be able to win a single district but they have people all across the country and they represent a fair % of the total

Interestingly the two biggest earthquakes in my memory in Mexico City happened in the same day. Sept 19 1985 and 2017 Every year in Sep 19 there is a city wide simulacro. And then in 2017 an earthquake happened for real.

As a reviewer, this is how I approach it. And it has been catching on my team. - Don't block the commit. Review as soon as possible. - Focus on finding bugs. - Ask questions if you don't understand something. - Sometimes

We don't hate you. Actually we would love to see Russia move forward and Russian people improve their lives. We are great-full that Russia stopped the Nazis in WWII and we don't want to worry about having the world blown up. See h

I believe that one of the things that make Texas more affordable is high property taxes. It keeps people from borrowing more money and competing as aggressively on price. So they pay in Taxes what they would be paying in interest. Taxes at

This sounds a lot better than the Single Responsibility Principle that is often quoted and IMHO often misunderstood.

It didn't happen because Microsoft was able to kill it. See, for a few years MS had a tight control over the browsers and they refused to upgrade the JVM in IE when they lost their infamous lawsuit against Sun. So Java Applets never fl

Why is this so hard? It should be very easy to fix this. Set the correct version in the pom.xml. Commit and push to master and deploy. right? easy. It should be a half an hour thing. But at my employer, we still have dozens of teams stru

I was never a fan of RUP. But it had the idea of adapting the process to the project. It gave you lots of choices. With Scrum, every project is approached the same way, and no one thinks if it makes sense or not. McConnell´s "Rapid Dev

I am about as old as you. Unless you started at 13. The problem was that projects spent months doing analysis and design and never ship everything. Also agile recognizes that you don have all the answers at the beginning; you need to experi
