What algorithm are you using? I've been tempted to write a tuner using autocorrelation, because in my experience it picks up pitch wonderfully.

No. Although there is a 1.0 version APK floating around and that's what I use. It's pretty great.

True. I was happy when I switched to Android because Dvorak was available as an on screen keyboard. I didn't last for more than a day with it. Dvorak is terrible for on screen typing.

It made sense to me. Luckily, Dvorak support for hardware keyboards has been always available on iOS.

Is Extensive Reading just that? Reading a lot in general? Or is it reading a lot on the specific subject that you want to learn, taking all possible branches?

Do people work until 2 am on weekends? I've done it only occasionally, but if it's becoming a common thing, we should look into solving it, and not by having a 4th meal.

I've always been perplexed by those hours. Having a good breakfast, then having lunch between 2 and 4 seems much better (you can easily stretch that to make it after work, at 5:30 pm or so), as they do in Latin America. Then dinner is

Along with the things mentioned in other comments, I would add lots of dictionaries, especially bilingual ones. We take words for granted, but so much of the shared experience of humanity is embedded in words themselves.

I love this idea. I've had to make this decision before (one or two passes). Now I'll do two passes for readability and stick this comment in my code: // Daddy, chill. Two passes are still O(N).

It's a matter of tact. They could say, "Here are your 32GB RAM machines. Your old one? You get to keep it too. Make sure Chrome works perfectly on your old machine."

About 15 years ago, at JHU, I heard about an algorithm that detected a writer's gender with more than 90% of accuracy, and the NLP professor considered that problem solved.
