So how can we / could we have stopped this patent. Is there an easy online way to submit prior art for patents under consideration? That way all the reviewer has to do is accept the prior art and nuke the application

Apparently our financial regulations are an obtuse, onerous nightmare to deal with. I imagine even just getting setup here is a big head start. Google Merchant have been expanding for years but are still ignoring Australia, so thank you Pin

Self preservation is just a selection function. I personally think that all it'll take is a mutating algorithm that can pay for its own hosting by somehow acquiring money and a self preserving algorithm like human intellect could eventually

Is this for long term contracts though, eg 3 months guaranteed work so long as you're not completely useless, implied that it could go on indefinitely?

I'm sure it'll come but I'd love to see a petrol powered version of this with a USB plug for an android phone. You can add all the sensors you want (LTE, gyros, gps) via the phone, and the range would be amazing by using mostly the wheels,

The problem is that not everyone knows everything about 'the market'. Advertising partially solves that, but relying on your social graph is also a really good way to find out which kinds of things in the market you'd like. If I see 50 rest

Well legally they'd be perfectly within their rights to tape you telling them off. And if you got violent they'd have all the evidence they'd need to press charges, conveniently backed up into the cloud.

Hell yes Not to mention you write "obj." and can instantly see all the methods available with arguments. Also if you add say an interface or inherit a new object it will immediately throw an error if required methods are not implemented. Y

Thanks for the analysis. The Federal Circuit is really pushing the boundaries in trying to make their patent specialisation relevant to society. If only someone would create patent troll shell companies whose sole purpose is the sue the Fed

The app is real, but they're poking fun at how simple it is. I can imagine their users are either often either extremely hungry and/or drunk, so extreme simplicity is a big plus.

Why would anyone think a potential spy would physically carry source code over the border? If he was going to leak it, it would have been sent months earlier over the internet, duh! Especially if he knew that someone was suspicious of him.

The end of the article has a great idea, combining both the voluntary donation model and adding a lean component by asking what people would want to read about. I feel like it might not be a success though as readers want you to just know w

I'm hoping there's an easy 'be quiet' option. They're 100% right that apps shouldn't be spammy, but we additionally need a standardised option to mute or uninstall apps with a couple of swipes. It's the most walled garden ever, but for some
