Sure, hence why I said entropy, but it's not like you can't use it :)

I am confused how this is new. UUIDv1 is time based, you just need to be careful about entropy, and in MySQL 8 you can for a longish time use it as an ordered field.

Imho, people should always remember that the only good "type" in yaml is to quote everything.

The amount of mistakes Google makes in the Netherlands when it comes to bikes is mind-blowing. If you don't know the area or manually check the maps it takes you trough a lot more car places that it should do.

I am not necessarily a fan of tailwind, but the author is explicitly writing how to not use a design system. Not knowing what m-3 is is the whole point. You use it across the website to have some consistency in your spacing, and not just sl

But technically Goland isn't 'on a subscription model' but a 'you want updates you need to pay for it model' , nothing stops you for just paying 1 year and having that license for life :)

Even if it's years, it does get into RHEL, so it is value by itself, since I do assume they don't plan to shut down RHEL in 1 year.

Going to beat a dead horse, but 30 days to migrate your database over ? I hope nobody was seriously using it in production, otherwise it's going to be a fun month for them.

If it's a snarky comment in a review, they're the problem, not you. If it's an honest review, then that's life, it's about the code, not about yourself. Can you look 2-3 years back at your original code and not find

Sometimes, I am amazed about what gets on the front page of ycombinator. TLDR: Don't use UUID v1, since its entropy is based on the Mac address, if your cloud provider is generating the same mac addresses for all your containers. To sa
