This is such an interesting thing of generational difference, since I remember sourceforge fondly before the crazy era of so many ads.

I usually call this ddd, debug driven development, or in case of php die() driven development :)

Looking at the replies here, I am not even sure how to react, it seems this community overall is going into a sad direction that just blames instead of trying to think of solutions. Most of them are just entitled and aggressive for absolute

Am I the only one that has a problem with all non dom/html renderers that I can't copy the text on mobile? The same with flutter etc, it's such a regression in my eyes but nobody prioritizes it.

I never understood why people have a tough time understanding the lovely shark teeth signs. It's literally a painted give way sign.

One of the things I am greatful for kubernetes and the killing of pods. Had a similar problem but memory wise with a pesky memory leak, and the short term solution was to do nothing as instances would to do nothing.

This is definitely going a bit too crazy. I sympathized with Wordpress a lot in the initial drama, but this is going downhill fast. Blocking somebody's access to the plugin repository, not accepting their patches, and then 'releas

I think it's a bit more nuanced. One complains about enterprise level architecture in run of the mill small projects. One complains about bugs, which should just be covered by tests, nothing that should sound or be complicated.

A lot of them are interesting points, but I am not sure I agree with the complaint the file system is case sensitive. That's how it should be and I am annoyed at macos for not having it.

Because the problem is not necessarily coding. 90% of the market is just doing CRUDS, and every year there's a new magical website that will make all websites be built by a WYSIWYG drag and drop editor. The problem is even defining the

One thing I don't get, and I hope I didn't miss an obvious comment, is that for all the complains about elektron and js being slow, vscode was and still is faster than atom.

I did have one cute moment regarding the copilot integration. I downloaded a menu of a restaurant in Dutch, and it could translate it and explain what those dishes are and what was most likely to be similar to chicken nuggets.

I guess I am in the minority looking at all the comments here, but I only use my car 1-2 times per week, and that means 350km+ usually on a trip (there and back, and no not even NL has charging stations everywhere). A car with constant 400k

+1 on this, every place or project I have touched has a backlog of tens if not hundreds of nice to haves but never enough time to touch them, and some of them are really not complicated.
