I see what you are saying. There is so much of this type of rhetoric online I sort of get blind to it sometimes. It's like pointing out a joke someone made, implying it wasn't a joke (you then have to imagine what airplane now mea

Tried extracting data from a newspaper. It is really hard. What is a headline and which headline belongs to which paragraphs? Harder than you think! And chucking it as is into OpenAI was no good at all. Manually dealing with coordinates fro

So you end up with a higher threshold for confidence at p<0.05 ot whatever you want p to be under. Comes out in the maths! Toss a coin 10 times comes up heads 10 times. There is a 1 in 2^10 (approx 1000) that happens by chance for an unb

Yeah you are papermanning the comment, and that aint cool. Given the strength of the posted article (by Tracing Woodgrains) I cannot see the debate either. It is airtight. Non partisan. Nuanced. Stone uncovering. Dozens of references. Led t

Sounds like a variable cost experiment. Each observation cost x$. Like an A/B split on Google ads. Why keep paying for A when you know B is better already.

https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a33957256/this-prog... Why sell a pee on a stick for $1 at 50c profit when you can sell one with a computer for $10 for $5 profit.

There is a lot of waste still. Pregnancy tests for example. And even the small array of devices - mouse keyboard phone watch charger headphones - still need to be replaced too often.

RL changes the weights which is a big deal. RL is expensive using HF. This could cut costs alot. You could have models learning different specialities. One could play with Redis and only do that for example.

Yeah F# and Typescript are very impressive. We just got used to tonnes of innovation. It ain't UNIX but I'd say Typescript is as impressive. An exoskeleton for JS that rivals Haskell. See also VSCode and WSL. And if we ain't
