Do you have kids? They cause about a 5-10 year period where getting into or out of a car is a 10 minute project.

Much more niche than the hairy ball theorem is the Cox-Zucker Machine, supposedly they decided during the first year of undergrad that they eventually had to work together.

But this is not meaningful. If I buy 10 dollars of stock, at 10% return I am earning 1 dollar per year. This amount is not relevant to my life in any way and is probably dwarfed by variation in the amount of cash I find lying on the ground

Careful with "can". It is possible for the homeless guy on the corner to buy stock in the sense that he is not prohibited from doing so. But on the other hand, the actual fact is that he can not purchase stock.

For the people who disagree: would you really be interested in seeing Child Grooming Simulator 25 on steam? I think we can almost all reasonably agree that at least this sort of content should not be sold on there.

You're repeating yourself. You are arguing that Harris and Biden performed better than Trump would have (and is, now). I agree. I am arguing that Biden was not, and Harris would not have been, acting in my best interests.

Again, I ask whether you think Harris or Biden produced objectively good results, or fixed any of the problems identified in the article. I agree that both are better choices than Trump, but my exact point is that I can't cast a vote t

You've given the game away. How was Harris a terrible option compared to Trump? She was not. But critically, she was only not a terrible option when compared to Trump! Maybe you might feel that Harris was herself an objectively good op

My political power would most certainly be more diluted - down to nothing - if we moved to a "state's rights" type system. As it happens, I live in Florida, so my choices for state and local office have been much worse than t

Not an unreasonable choice if externalities such as carbon (and mining, etc. in the case of nuclear) are taken into account. And suppose you price carbon in, how do you actually produce a real carbon sink at the assumed cost and scale if na
