Based on how they interacted with the users when they removed the colors for the icons, I don't think they care about user feedback and will just post made up reasons for the change ("colors are distracting when coding").

Personally I don't care too much. But on the other hand I have ADD and there's a chance I get bored with a twitter thread and move on before finishing it while a blog post allows me to keep it open in a tab and read it in steps.

How does that make sense? You write the same amount of text in the end.

I don't get what's bad or "anti-trans" in this post?

Well the show motto was "no hugging, no learning". But don't you think Elaine was a "strong independent woman"?

Bitwig seems interesting but is so expansive (speaking as a Reaper user). Were you caught in the Bitwig drama around the release of their plug-ins last week? ;)

Well yes, some containers only read the persistent data so if those could have zero-downtime as there's no risk of data corruption it would be great, but that option is not offered to me.

I would maybe do all that if it was for more than side-projects that can tolerate 5-10 seconds of downtime when deployed :)

It's clearly stated in the article that this is not the original webcam.

I guess most of my apps have persistent data.

I use CapRover and my main criticism is the non-zero downtime deployment. Also when I update docker some apps don't restart properly, but that may just be my (basic Ubuntu dedicated) server though.

Maybe more things should have TTL capability in computing. Like why did we have it for cookies and not localstorage or Indexdb? Is there any filesystem with ttl support?

I usually use studio monitors but my work Pro M1 has really decent sound for a laptop. But of course not to play or compare virtual pianos.

by conradfr 4y ago
I'm not really a piano player but personally I prefer the sound of great sampled pianos (usually Steinways, or the Ravenscroft 275 for example) but prefer the feel of Pianoteq when playing, in a indescribable way.

As long as you don't plan for a full rewrite all at once the technical part is not the hardest aspect, it's even the best part! > fix this development team without managing them directly This is the worrying part. If you'r

In a way genre-specific EQs are stupid because the music is already mixed and mastered for the genre, EQs are there to adapt your monitors to your room, or correct your headphones. But if it works, it works!

Ideally you would have a project that you use and maintain/update over a long period. It doesn't need to be perfect, it doesn't need to consume all your free time. You don't even need to write tests ;) But there's v
