A related anecdote: some months ago I had a memory leak inside a (greatly duplicated) genserver while repeatedly calling a lib[0] function inside it, that would result in the server basically crashing after a while. I never understood what

This seems great. I've been using the unmaintained node-osmosis lib for years, maybe it'll motivate me to finally move from it.

Your comparison matches a lot mine with Symfony, but is way more detailed. - I see you dislike generators as much as me ;) - Template inheritance, it's maddening isn't it? Sadly it does not resonate with the RoR crowd and by exten

Yes it's not bad! I guess I dislike the code that the context generator produces. A bit like the auth generator that forces you to commit code you didn't write and that is basically a mess to upgrade, and frankly not that great to

Channels are great, LiveView is good, Plugs are elegant, although one thing I don't quite like are Contexts. Actually a lot of its strength come from using Elixir & the Beam. For everything else I still feel it's inferior to m

The encoders of today create really good mp3 even at 192kbps (at 128kbps not so much which is a shame as a lot of internet radios use that). Do you have a favorite rock track we can do an ABX test with?
