My immediate thought. The context to that, is that the prosecutors sent a low quality video to the defense, and then late in the trial introduced a high quality video, which the defense couldn't prepare for; and there was a whole argum

The problem is that on the sheer scale of Apple's worldwide repair needs (if every big repair was sent to a US location), they'd need to have tens of thousands of highly-paid technicians who are good at soldering, and make very fe

The legend going around, is that the iPhone's screen was changed from plastic to glass a week before the announcement (6 months before launch). Nowadays, things like the cameras get finalized 2-3 years before the phone comes out (accor

I remember seeing a tweet by the Safari team that they have more openings than ever; great news, they have a lot of catch up to do! I really hope they can gain an equal footing and start having a better (bigger?) impact on the web.

It does seem strange, because while I'm not too familiar with the PoW pro/cons arguments (I heard PoW was more secure than any other method, for now, but haven't verified that independently), it rubs me the wrong way to class

As far as I'm aware there's nothing in the OS that should do that, at least by default. Perhaps an accessibility option. Or your charger is finnicky and somehow disconnects during charging a few times, but you say the sound is dif

Pretty sure YouTube employees have already classified all government channels and public access channels as such. There's a notice below those videos that indicates it. And if not, it should be done anyway.

I strongly hope that Google & Apple are already planning lawsuits against this. My next phone will be an Android with custom ROM if this passes with no protest.

I fail to see how that changes anything. Apple has a good refund policy, but kids game on laptops too, and if they know your CC number, they can buy things on Fortnite on their laptops; the root problem is kids knowing your CC number. I don

It's quite interesting to read the history of how Blink came to be[0]. Seems like it started on what amounts to a misunderstanding. And now, because of it, Safari's fallen hopelessly behind in web standards support, security, and

If Apple Stores have the ability to pair a new FaceID module after an "official" repair, then why wouldn't the NSA have that same ability? Only third-party repair shops don't have that ability.
