Sounds like an awful situation to be in. GMane has been such a tremendous resource over the years.

> The US tax system is King Canute. Interesting, I had never heard this phrase before. Are you referring to this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Canute_and_the_waves

What is more unbelievable is the Management Engine itself, not a nitpick about a platform being left out of the list of alternatives. It did not seem like he was creating a comprehensive list, just a first attempt.

It seems like the Vive should be able to play all the oculus launch games from a technical standpoint, but not vice versa because every Vive game really takes advantage of the finely tracked hand controllers and ability to wander through a

The BladeRF is full duplex for just a little more than the hackrf, definitely a viable option for enthusiasts.

This reminds me of part of The Lathe of Heaven, which I just read after a recommendation on here a few weeks ago. Interesting that they can both start and stop REM sleep, from what I can tell.

John Carmack overcame all of these technical issues and wrote up this blogpost in the past month with all of his other responsibilities at the same time. Humbling.

Some of those other interesting permissions are the ability to open arbitrary network/bluetooth sockets, read/write to external storage, and access the camera[1]. Mediaserver is not full root but it is pretty privileged. Given all

Awful to hear about this, Katie (@k8em0) has been a hugely positive force for Microsoft's security team. Definitely the most visible champion of their bug bounty programs and responsible disclosure practices.

I remember the first time I read a hype article about the memristor. They really made it sound like it was coming out in a year or two. Guess I should've known better.

Does anyone here have any insight into some of the practical applications of knowing the exact resonances now? Certainly an interesting read, going to do some more research into this interval arithmetic subject.
