They don't have to open up the entire product - only the libraries for the encryption part.

If Apple is serious, the next step will be to open up the source for the encryption parts of iMessage, FaceTime, etc with the ability to verify the binaries, much like PGP used to do for their software. And also to verify the keys being use

As mentioned in a previous thread on this topic - they don't have to register surveillance blimps, tethered or free-flying. Based on altitude I think.

Key management is one of the toughest issues for secure email. Key management for an individual is hard enough but can you imagine how it would be for a corporation? PGP (the second incarnation that was bought by Symantec, not the first tha

The tagline for the article is ridiculous. "Sexist buffoonery cost Shawn Simoes his job. But you could lose yours for a lot less. Welcome to the creeping corporate takeover of our private lives." It's not corporate takeover o

I don't see how the early anthropologists would be so bored with this tribe. They sound so different than anything else and fascinating. This shows how important play is to develop imaginary things like gods, rituals, etc. however, I d

Not all of it was because of redeployment after the war. At the start of the war MN had only been a state a few years but were the first to volunteer troops (the governor happened to be in dc). They distinguished themselves in battle, inclu

That's great. However, it still looks like it's just a sales office based on sc's job board. I'd be curious to know if he got residency but I know you probably can't answer that. Without residency he can only spend

Take a look at Apache Sling's content-driven/content-focused way of displaying information. Once you get your head wrapped around it it makes perfect sense for displaying content rather than data, which is better for mvc.

The last time I looked into it, all SilentCircle had was a small sales office in the French part. No engineering, marketing, etc... just a secretary and a sales guy. I'd be surprised if they move anything substantial besides their serv

You're trying too hard. Before Google the Internet was more useful. Smaller and more content focused. I'd gladly go back to hotbot or whatever to get away from Google and their ilk. A combination of disconnect, Adblock pro, and se

So you support Isis and their takeover of Sunni areas that welcome them with open arms? I guess that's ok but I don't agree with you.

The Kurds may be friends with the u.s. but the u.s. has not been friends with the Kurds. Our relationship with nato ally turkey has taken precedence and we've turned a blind eye to terrible actions by turkey against the Kurds.

No, there is not. That is a ridiculous statement. As a American I prefer the rights of an individual, but most the world favors the right of the community. The areas that Isis controls and taken over gladly go to Isis because they are Sunni

Iraq is majority Shia. Iran is majority Shia. Isis is Sunni. Saddam was Sunni, a minority in Iraq, but saddam kept the Sunni in power. When he was deposed the Sunni were repressed and pushed into a repressed role. However they... Fuck it. I

Sounds like more of the same. Exaggeration and propaganda from both sides to raise emotion and get people that have nothing to do with the fight to commit to kill. The people of the region don't even want to fight this battle.

The Iraqi Shiites and Kurdish Christian/shiites should be fighting Isis. Saddam (a Sunni himself) kept the Sunni radicals in check for decades. If the people of the region won't do it or even try why should you? It's like the

The people I worked with would not hire someone that worked in porn. Also, my boss at adobe would not either. A gambling or porn background reduces your career options.
