Yep. Worked for a company that was brought in to fix what Accenture messed up. Sadly they were able to regain the contract that I worked on because of some bizarre run around involving another contract.....

I guess you weren't doing anything relating to sensitive government work. In those situations you do want a desk phone. In those cases you're not taking your smartphone into the work area...

Actually most of these corporations have plenty of controls on their networks preventing the random plugging in of devices into networks. Most of the time they are using something that involves 802.1X.

You and I agree. Unfortunately most large corporations, and US Government agencies like to be able to see and inspect network traffic. Mostly to prevent the theft of confidential data. The fact that the MITM proxies hoover up passwords and

I get your points. In situations where Ubuntu 20.04 machines are on airgapped networks or corporate networks that use mirrors and the like. For personal and other situations I prefer flatpak and snaps...

True, but there are documents that have information that is at multiple levels of sensitivity and/or classification. When you work with such information, having such granularity of classification is a good thing (no matter how awkward

Seriously? Being a cleared engineer, especially in the Washington DC area is a pretty decent career. Demand is pretty good these days with the current move from on prem facilities to the cloud as well...

Why would they need to do such a thing. The defendant broke his agreement with the CIA and the Federal Government by leaking classified information. It honestly seems incredibly stupid to falsify evidence that could torpedo an entire case..

Unless DigitalOcean creates their own equivalent of a GovCloud region, they won't be an option in my industry. I do still like using DigitalOcean and Vultr for personal projects and the like.

It does seem to be a trend that state universities are ending transfer agreements to 4 year universities. George Mason University ended their transfer agreement with NVCC 5-ish years ago.
