All of these seem to imply discoverability and queries are the biggest pain point in web apps. For me, in creating specific purpose business apps, the biggest headaches are presenting the data in ways that minimize the user's unnecessa

+1 for the Noctua fans and coolers too. When I need a full tower I always swap out the stock fans and coolers for Noctua.

I've own and have built a number of these and not not seen this ever. The cases are much thicker and rigid than you'd expect. 5+ years for a few of them now.

These (AirTop, Fit-PC, etc.) are completely sealed machines so no dust enters. It does build up on the case - depending on your environment - but doesn't effect the thermal characteristics at all.

You're anecdote is my point exactly?! If your current employer would list the $10,000 per seat price (or even a range -- $8,000 - %12,000 per seat depending on reasons) then someone was willing to consider an order of magnitude less co

In the overall economy it's considered a fallacy, but in the small or subset of the economy (like highly skilled IT people) there is not that consensus. Empirical evidence bears this out too.

I know I will. But if we tax the 1% of the 1% it can easily be accomplished. Just gotta remember that the super wealthy are no longer human. Just look at Dee-Tee.

I know, people make the "I'd use it but for this feature" comment all the time. But I believe they do it without thinking rather than with the intent of being unkind. The "... pull request" is almost certainly knowi

Just saw intercooler referenced in a post a couple days ago and took a look. It does look refreshingly simple to get started. I've got a basic app with JSON end points already created. I was going to give VUE a go but after looking at

But why would that mean anything to the publisher? They want to sell the magazine and if soul crushing mind rotting stereotypes sell copies at the checkout line then why would the publisher want to be the moral agents of change?

Rust has manual memory management. Most applications where you'd use Go don't need nor want the added complexity of managing memory, ownership, learning curve, etc. It's not really a reasonable exchange.

No, scheme and lisp both force newcomers to think in a totally different way: prefix. It's very unnatural for non-programmers and even for seasoned programmers. Balancing all those trees in your head is difficult and taxes the memory.

I don't remember thinking about who owns a chunk of memory in, for example, C# or Java but I could be wrong and have just internalized it. Rust, based on my limited experience, seems to impose this mental burden continuously. For highe
