Like others in the thread, I also experienced this recently in NYC. It’s amazing how incredibly quick the system is too. You place the items in the bin at the same time, and by the time you look up at the screen the price is already waiting

Mistborn is definitely a great intro to the cosmere books. I'd almost definitely start there, see if you like it, and then get into the rest because it can be pretty overwhelming with how much there is.
