The steady march towards authoritarianism continues. Is there any way that we can overwhelm them?

> if you're sick you shouldn't work at all, you should be focusing on getting well. Most people could work perfectly well with a bit of a cold. Then covid turned it into a virtue signal to slack off for something trivial.

Same. I can't stand working in my home office at this stage. Somethings are easier when you don't have the distraction of a busy office, but many things are a lot easier / more efficient. On-boarding new staff is so much bett

Arch has some of the best documentation for Linux in general. I ended up there a lot for a Manjaro install but it has solved issues on Ubuntu machines for me. Always pretty obscure stuff.

Isn't there a GUI installer for Arch. I am sure I am capable of installing it but I don't feel the need to get that involved.

Does anyone have a good guide / article on how to think in CSS? I do mostly backend work, but have spent plenty of time fixing frontend stuff. I can usually make it work but I can't build CSS from the ground up in the way I would

Sounds more like Perl. I do miss Perl. It was far nicer than Python as a bash replacement. Python is better for larger projects in my opinion, as Perl is too flexible and expressive.

WTFs per minute is the standard way of measuring code quality. Lower being better.

No code solutions are often superior. Around 15 years ago we were shipping terabyte hard disks as it was faster than the internet (until one got stuck in customs)

Agreed. Being in an MRI sounds like you are in the middle of a warzone. With constant sounds that sounds somewhat like gunshots. That would be pretty terrifying on shrooms.

Given the vast difference in longitude places within the same time zone, I am fairly sure that argument could be made.

It's better to have the most sunlight during you waking hours, which tend to be later in the day. People don't wake up at 6am and go to bed at 6pm, more like wake at 7 and go to bed at 11.

Spain effectively has the opposite. It's an hour ahead of London despite Grenwich meridian passing through both. Actually Spain seems far better than England, as the daylight is more in line with sleeping hours. If the sunrise is 7am i

The reason I was using duck duck go in those days was because I didn't want google knowing everything I searched for. It's caught up now, but it was a bit worse search in those days.

I find this to be a bit of a weak argument. What you make makes sense, but of for some reason a glaring security hole is noticed, people are going to take advantage of it.
