It seems completely wrong that they are trialling experimental vaccines on children, where the risk is almost certainly greater than from covid. Absolutely disgusting.

Can we have the same for covid. For young healthy people this virus is not something that justifies the media hysteria. I believe that for under 30's you have more chance of an adverse reaction to the vaccine than to the virus.

Marketing companies would be my opinion. Fake meat has been around for years, but has become trendy again in the last couple of years. (Maybe it's better now, but that is subjective).

It wasn't really as simple as that though. I set up a couple of apps on their free tier, and there is a Heroku way of doing this that was quite different from having access to a VM and installing and configuring things manually, which

They really are a new church, telling us what is acceptable to think, censoring bad sounding names from us, all for our own "safety".

I read the headline, and my first thought was "I wonder if they are happier for it?" thinking that they probably would be. I have spend a fair bit of my life in countries where I don't speak the language particularly well. I

I keep hearing that you can specify the only fields that you need, but to be honest that isn't a problem we have. I have only taken a cursory glance, but adding a schema in at the request level, which then needs translated to a Mongo q

Basically doubling the complexity of an app. If you need a fair amount of front end interaction, fair enough, but many apps would be a lot simpler with Django templates and a bit of jQuery.

The official Django tutorial is pretty good. Two Scoops is good for going from beginner / intermediate to intermediate / advanced knowledge, with best practices in mind.

Adding an extra layer doesn't make things simpler. It may make it easier to do a second time, but the initial set up is just the same.

Do you have any good examples of Graphql increasing complexity (as opposed to REST)? A dev at my work is pushing for it, and I am against it because it's another tech that isn't really solving any problems that we currently have (

It's coercion into taking a rushed vaccine that hasn't undergone long term testing, and for which vaccine manufacturers are off the hook in terms of liability (in the UK at least). It's against the Nuremberg code. Just like w

Flu testing has basically stopped. Many countries are recording every death within 20 days of a positive test as a covid death. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHfOcGm5xiA This shows overall deaths in a number of countries

I got asked a python question that involved a couple of list comprehensions. I did it and got asked how to do it without an intermediate variable. It involved nesting the list comprehensions, and I nearly didn't get it, not because I d

Whiteboard has actually become less common in the last ten years in my opinion (20 years in the industry). It's moved towards take home exercises, which are a more realistic gauge of what you are doing, but are just such a time sink. T
