I love VSCode, but moved back to AWS+VIM for dev because the FS is just too slow in Windows and I am forced to use a Windows machine for work. VNC is too slow with 4k monitors as well.

What I really want is to be able to use vscode in a client server architecture. Kind of like a forwarded session, but with client code living on the client machine. Plugins, linters, etc, all living and running on the server. VNC is too

I have started using and evangelizing styled-components in our react projects. Hard to explain, but it just feels like it is the right way to do CSS. Having everything to do with the view for a component in one file works well for the way

I think SpaceX proposed system will be in LEO ~1100km above the earth. At this distance, satellite internet should be faster due to having a straight line, and the fact that EM in a vacuum is faster than fiber.

The state isn't paying for the data center, they are lowering the tax burden.

Thank you. It would be like saying Wal-Mart is giving a customer $5 because DVD is $15 there vs. $20 at Best Buy. Yes, if nobody gave tax breaks companies would have to pay more taxes, but that will never happen, Congress likely does not

I don't think writing a browser based, professional, CAD application is out of the question. Especially with WASM gaining support in modern browsers and WebGL2. I think this was done a few years ago, but it still amazes me. http:

CSS grid looks interesting, but we still need to support IE. Is there a shim/poly fill available that has been tested in production?

I upgraded to 10, the issues caused me to just run ZFS on linux with docker and netdata for monitoring. Other than the UX are there really any benefits of using FreeNAS over ZFS on Linux?

I don't think a cable subscriber is the intended customer here. Most of the cable providers encrypt everything now. I think this is more aimed at OTA.

I live in the south, it is perfectly legal and socially acceptable to carry a handgun, concealed or open. Something like this could add context to a situation, but sounding an alarm because of a handgun present sounds like a bit much.

Media source extensions don't give you the low-level control needed for low-latency and streams need to be re-muxed into fMP4. Web-RTC is a good option, but the infrastructure required can be a non-starter for many projects. For exam
