It's not Linux that's broken, it's arrogant developers of system daemons that are broken.

systemd is such complete garbage that I immediately write off any distros that run on it as unusable. For all the fail of SysV init, at least it sticks to its own job and little else.

PSCore isn't bad so long as you don't load it down with Powershell modules. It only takes two or three beyond the built-ins to make it start crawling.

Signed up but still waiting for them to introduce Instagram importing. I have quite a few pics on there and I want to completely move over without losing the order and posting times of my Insta account.

Unless or until Apple bans your account, at which point you can't even deploy to your own phone anymore.

Yep. Hell, as far as I know, we've never even designed a nuclear bomb, and the only nukes on Canadian soil were American built and controlled, and gone as soon as they were no longer needed up here.

It would help a lot if we weren't locked into their everything for anything. Store, dev tools, etc., it's all massively anti-third-party.

My source is me, having to develop and manage a cross-platform mobile app (Android and iOS). Doing anything with the latter platform is an uphill struggle, from the platform itself to publishing the app. On the other hand, working with Andr

As a developer, tell that to the users. Speaking of which, even just developing for iOS is a painful chore compared to Android. Unfortunately when the client and the users want iPhones, folks like us have to develop for them. In this world,

But if I can get a domain that looks almost like yours and send an email from there, what good is DKIM then unless someone's paying real close attention?

▲

This has already been touched on in the article and the comments. DKIM isn't any good when it tells you that the email from fraudulent mybankk.com is verified just because the phishers were clever enough to set up DKIM on their site.

Except that if I don't like one store, I can always go to another. That's the case with Android, and at least to an extent with Windows (even store apps can be distributed and installed by package if you don't want to use the

It's about Apple and anyone they consider a (potential or active) competitor. As far as customers come into it, Apple wants to be able to milk them dry and keep them from using anyone who might provide a similar or better service than
