From the experience I've had with running Parallels and the like, I disable any sharing of drives. I dont need drag and drop files from and to each one. After disabling that, I see better performance. Disabling options like Application shar

It's nice to see GitHub jumping to show action in regards to FireSheep and SSL security, and being able to implement something quickly. I wish other sites were able to follow suit.

While I approve of finding a way to get your foot in the door for lunch sales, the soon abusing of it really turned me off. Too much like politics really. Other clubs or the school itself could have used that money.

I use my slice for this stuff. On a mac, just add the localhost:<someport> to the 'network preferences > SOCKS proxies' and then do: ssh -D <someport> user@slicehost.com
