It's better if you don't have the IDE for that project open already. Or if you search for a project which doesn't come with project files for your IDE of choice. Or if you want to pipe the results. I work a lot with IDE'

That was too much typing anyway. When you mostly work with one language something like this is nice (in my case c/c++): alias ack-cpp='ack-grep --type=cpp --type=cc'

As nightly-build user I've worked with it a few weeks. I got used to everything - except the tab's on top (more mouse-movement and they just don't make sense, I don't get why they removed that option). But now working w

I ordered recently a chair from Otto and was mostly surprised that I couldn't use a credit card. Instead they send an invoice a few days after delivery.

Yeah, solution is the name in VS for it. Workspace is maye a better name. Basically a file containing more than 1 project file (like a project + all it's libraries). The problems with configuration files are solved when typical setting

Must have: - An editor that can show different line-endings (cr/lf) and it must be possible to between them (nice to have - switching that independently for each open file). - Text search per file, per project and per solution. Nice to

Editing sentences in interviews is not unusual. Most people don't talk like they write, so cleaning up what they said can be the fair thing to do. But it doesn't cover changing the meaning of a sentence like in this case.

It's not because of YouTube comments, but about another social network trying to squeeze into our lives. The harmless fun they once had been is gone. Now something comparable to an immune system reaction is kicking in whenever a social

Things change all the time. Last time I searched (shortly after wheezy release when I first needed a newer Firefox and Iceweasel was not yet in backports) I couldn't find a current Firefox version build which worked on 64-bit Linux. So

I have both installed for a few years now (Debian on Desktop and Server, Ubuntu on Laptop). First of all every article mentioning something like "I switched recently and everything is fine" just gives me a little sad smile. Yes -

Living in Germany shaved heads are unfortunately also a right-wing political statement. Neo-nazis are using shaved heads for recognition and are known as "Glatzen" (skinheads). Which I think is one reason that you see only very fe

Thanks for the hints. I already do regular exercises and keep my weight more or less - it's just getting harder every year. With 30 I never had to think much about this while with 40 it has become an annoying regular routine I have to

Getting 40 made me just feel old. I no longer have as much energy, keeping my weight got harder and let's not forget the annoying loss of hair. Additional experience is somewhat nice, but doesn't make up for it. Then again I spend

But it doesn't average out. The 5ms player is continuosly 4ms behind the other player. As above poster explained - the times add up. So you have 200ms + one to five ms. If server tick is as little as 5ms the problem is even worse as in

One sad aspect of this is that it won't have any effect on the income of the involved politicians.
