I didn't realize this was a sub 100k flight... wow. What a sad regression. I went to Vandeberg in 2004 to watch the X-prize launch which actually hit 100k. It was anticlimactic as an event... No confident confirmation of the accomplish

It wasn't a negotiated line item, but more that we had a specific ask, and the agency we were engaged with had a particular expert available if we could wait > a month. This didn't directly affect the cost - which maybe I shoul

Speaking from a buyer's perspective (I've managed about three penetration tests) they costed around 10-15k per person week-ish. The cost can be adjusted depending on how experienced the testers are, timing (I need it now vs I need

A quick google search of the product name (BG-E8 5G Signal Jammer) from the pictures in a linked article[0] indicate it costs a few hundred dollars and uses 30W, with a range of about 250m. Wonder how modified it can be, or how varied those

Interesting take, I don't want to assume which you mean, but it seems like the pledge is pure propaganda, that said I find it more troubling when knowledge is intermixed with propaganda. At least pure propaganda is not trying to convin

Yeah, I am not doubting the author at all, but I built a lot of computers for myself and others in the 90s, and maybe I just don't remember, or maybe I always had two cables, one for each drive, but I distinctly remember setting jumper

Not everyone only risks mild disease, the vaccine isn't 100% effective on anyone and some have less ability to defend against the virus. Elderly, and immunocompromised are the ones who willfully unvaccinated people put at risk. I don&#

That’s a fair point. I still think it’s true that they will now experience life differently from you so prepare for that. Don’t worry about how you compare to them, focus on your own goals near and long term and maybe they can invest in a f

Interesting tidbits from the paper[0]: Negritos diverged from Papuans 53kya! They estimate the East Asian influx as being only about 2200ya! Wild to imagine what pressures caused those two events. [0] https://www.cell.com/cu

I’m surprised they didn’t have this thing imaged and further forensics done on it. Certainly numerous device logs show other useful information. Maybe they did, and I missed it though, or it was intended as a read only device in the field.

I haven’t done any research on this so feel free not to respond, but how would that work with the Internet? Both practical and regulatory issues seem impossible to resolve.
