The funny thing about this article is that it cites one of the biggest flops as a sign of success. Dean Kamen might have said, if you live in the future, you won't drive short distances. He built Segway.

TLS transport mapping for Syslog requires that you maintain both client & server certificates for authentication. The point of requiring certificates for the client is so your server doesn't get spoofed logs.

The problem affects nginx 1.3.9 - 1.4.0. Ubuntu 12.04.02 LTS uses Version: 1.1.19-1.

> Why layout double the infrastructure when and get into a price war when you can do the same thing somewhere else and be able to charge more? The point is that AT&T is trying to kill off Google's Internet business. It takes many ye

I was looking at Sublime Text for Go, and apparently the autocomplete box cannot be expanded so it is unable to display function arguments. https://github.com/DisposaBoy/GoSublime/issues/212 Probably an issue for other languages as well.

I hate spam as much as anyone but blacklists have gotten out of hand. I rented a server, and when I decided to use it for sending emails, I found out the IPs were blacklisted. I tried appealing to Microsoft and they claimed the IP was black

Egress filtering is not a solution. I've had attacks come from Asia and Russia and none of the hosts respond. I've also tried contacting their upstream providers. The DNS system needs to be changed.

DNS reflected attacks need to be addressed NOW. The problem is getting worse every day. You can rent botnets that exploit this for as low as $5 on places like hackforums. Authorities won't deal with your problem unless you are as big as Ma

I've filled reports to ic3.gov and the police. Haven't gotten a response from either one. Unless you are paying your hosts tens of thousands a month, they don't help you either and usually want to drop you unless you pay them extra.

With your logic, the same argument could be applied to PHP. The problem is that Go simply doesn't solve anything new. If Go contains your favorite language features but not mine, then why should I bother to use or hype it? If you want light

I don't think this is a reasonable demand for startups or even medium sized businesses. Libraries cost time and money to produce, and if you are relying on free volunteers, development will either be slow or buggy and likely both. I remembe

I see what you mean by that, but open-sourcing all your software instead of just having an export function seems risky to me. In our area of business, our features get copied really quickly.

The problem is that search engines are still stupid. Even with Google there are biases towards keywords in the title, url, or domain, even when it isn't relevant. People needed SEO even when no one was selling it.

I wish hosts would stop blaming their customers for these attacks. Every time someone gets ddosed and complains on hosting forums, the #1 reaction is "who did you piss off?".
