Been running solo bootstrapped SAAS for 8+ years already and have seen moderate success (low 7 figures in ARR). Nothing worth gloating but I can build a few things and sell. I have employees but no true partner/co-founder who lives and

I have been keeping track of a few products like these including some that are YC backed. Interesting space as I am looking for a solution myself: - Minds DB (YC W20) https://github.com/mindsdb/mindsdb - Buster (YC W24

I guess I qualify as a "Tech Dad". I run a tech business and father of 3 (11 years,10 years, 18 months). The most critical support network is your wife. Period. Full stop. If you have anything less than 100% support (mental and ph

It is just market correction from the crazy times of 2021/2022 where everyone and their mother were hiring in bulk because hey, free money (0 interest rates). Now that it has dried up, this was bound to happen.

That's ok. You are just built to work with more structure and processes. Some people like the small company vibe where things are a bit chaotic but also fun and creative. Nothing wrong with either.

You can filter out most recruiters by asking 2 questions upfront: - What is the Salary Range ? - Who is the employer ? If they are wishy washy in revealing either one, tell them to pound sand especially if you are a good candidate and not d

In my opinion, only the scammers OR people who truly believed in the promise of crypto and still are delusional to think it will materialize some day. Either way, it is terrible. I can't believe that a digital currency that cannot be u

You are not alone. I am literally going to ask the flight attendants before boarding if this is a 737 MAX. If they cant answer or the answer is yes, I will not step on that plane.

Yes, Aviation is safe. However, specifically the 737 MAX model is not. Too many incidents since 2019 killing hundreds of people. No Thanks. I will rather go back home than fly a 737 MAX.

Why is 737 MAX having so many issues then ? In a short period of time since 2019, it had way too many incidents for an aircraft. I am never flying 737 MAX and yes I am a very practical person.

I am usually a very practical person but looking at the catastrophic failures specifically of 737 MAX and not one but many in short period, it is way too many for a plane. Yes planes crash but the probability is extremely low in general exc

Sometimes, if you wait for a couple of days and try fresh on a different IP/browser, it may work. No guarantees but has happened to me before. Google is finicky like that.

Interesting. They raised $32M in Sep 2022 and now are shutting down because got acqui-hired by Airtable. Wonder what happens to the investors in this case ? Is this considered a loss overall ? What about existing customers of Airplane ?

Find startup/smaller companies, be totally honest about what happened and make your case. Large companies will filter you out during application/HR process itself.

They are all following acquire.com(previously microacquire) model where sellers don't pay but buyers do. Since it became popular, lot of similar "inspired" products are coming up.
