The book Refuse to Choose by Barbara Sher helped me get through notebooks. I could only ever get a few pages in one before switching interests. This is the book: https://amzn.to/3OQxX4J I started with these, and got through

I was introduced to Pascal’s Turtle Graphics back in the 90’s. I thought it was cool but never had a real use for it; x,y seemed easier for some reason. I started drawing SVG’s for a laser engraver and suddenly I wish other languages had th

I'm working on an application where you share your business idea with an AI which evaluates and ranks ideas. It scores the idea, explains why it scored the way it did, and offers suggestions for improvement. That's double meta in

For me, the most rewarding part is to help people. I love getting a random email saying “thanks” for a few sentences I jotted down that saved someone else time or money or made their life better somehow. My most valuable example actually ca

What about software? I was thinking about this last night. Should I use a license agreement that gives my proprietary software to the public domain when I die? What about my open source software that I can no longer maintain? In my case, th

True for me too. The costs for cloud services _seem_ like they’re higher to get started _and_ I worry about the cost runs you hear horror stories about.

At the end the author talks a bit about passing his own stuff on to others. I’ve often wondered if I could or should do the same. I don’t have anything that has a big community behind it but I’ve been making random stuff for a long time. Ma

Another good example of this might be the transition from http to https. Granted, that's not actually the domain name but most people probably wouldn't make the distinction. Although HTTP URL's still work on most TLDs in most
