I got the most use out of it on an airplane with no wifi. It let me keep working on a coding solution without the internet because I could ask it quick questions. Magic.

The cited problem was trademark infringement. I had used “jazAwake” as the name and the drive was the Iomega Jaz(tm) Drive. They also mentioned that it might shorten the life of a drive, but that was not their primary complaint.

I once received a cease-and-desist from my employer, who was a big tech company! I had written a small shareware app called JazAwake. It was designed to stop the Iomega Jaz drive from spinning down every two minutes or so. They did not know

We aren't using a special lens. It works but only within a certain range. The ideal laser focus, on our machine, is only about 3mm from the lens body. The handle posts necessitate moving the laser head farther away, to around 11mm. So,

If you have trouble engraving tumblers, I've found a trick that works really well. The tool ensures that the laser maintains consistent focus at both edges of the tumbler resulting in a more uniform engraving. I call it The Tumbler Tri

More than ten years ago I self published a small book. Today, I decided to summarize the instructions and post them online. Because a lot of my technical co-workers write, and because they often assume it’s more complicated than it is, I t

If you create collage (cut and paste) art using typography, you might find a tool I created this week useful. It cycles through randomly picked Google Fonts and lets you edit the text. I'm using it to create art inspired by Chris Ashwo

Does this rule encourage off-shoring? Meaning that contract developers just invoice you and you write that off as any other expense, or does it apply equally there?

GitHub is my worst offender. When I need a timestamp for Git I always need the exact date and time, even if it's recent. This was mentioned elsewhere but it's buried under another comment. I think GitHub needs top level placement
