I took a quick peak at this last time it was mentioned and it had dozens of my own repos of unlicensed source code in it. All of that was published on GitHub and made public, but much of it has no license specified.

I wrote an instructional book about how to publish your own book. It gets good reviews but not a lot of reads due to a lack of promotion. I’ve been thinking about writing a second edition that would be a much longer version as a must read.

I haven’t had success writing fiction just yet but I just read The Snowflake Method and I hope to give it a go. It’s a really interesting read. https://a.co/d/gJrLsyM This also got me interested in Creative Nonfiction

This is timely. I just completed a few experiments and wrote a little about doing OCR on my handwritten notes. https://notes.joeldare.com/handwritten-text-recognition Tesseract was one of the tools I tested, although I used

Many of these, however, should just be doors. For many of them the alarming of them seems unnecessary.

I don’t know if it will save me but I purchase a domain of my own, use an email address from that domain, and forward to Gmail. I could easily forward to any other service. When Google locks me out of my account I’ll see how resilient this

Random Riff generates random guitar riffs in the Minor Pentatonic scale. Seems similar to some of the ones in this list. It’s more so you can tweak them on your guitar than listen to them, although you can click on notes to hear them. http

I primarily fly Delta and at least part of the reason is that they don't buy the Max. Prior to the last couple years I primarily flew Southwest, who does fly the Max. That doesn't mean I'll never be shuffled to a flight run b

What does SingleFile do? The intro tells you how to run it, but not what it does.

One thing that's worked for me is jotting down stray thoughts in a tiny pocket notebook or in a note app. I just finished writing a full post about that process. https://notes.joeldare.com/stray-thoughts-notebook

I take notes for two main reasons. First, to improve memory—research shows that handwritten notes aid in memory, learning, and retention. Second, notes serve as a helpful guide for tasks I don’t frequently perform. I find note taking to be

That sounds interesting, do you have a link? Is that because of an accusation of using a reference, or copying a reference too closely, or something like being sued for using their own work?

Sounds like Chrome isn't their daily driver. Firefox blocks a lot of ads by default in Strict mode. That's what I use, so I haven't used AdBlock for a long time. I also have a Pi-hole on my home network.
