The big problem is black market for data/identities. Not only in China but in the world. Identity theft is quite huge. And a lot of those data weren't even stolen but was sold by those corrupt officials or staffs in some firms.

There are always security/privacy trade-offs when it comes to applying policies. There are 1.4bn people in China. It has to take a much scalable approach to manage the population to ensure safety for average people and smooth functioni

Privacy is pretty much finished whether you are using a service from China or anywhere else. Given there are more surveillance to come in post-terrorism era.

It's a good sign but not that impressive, people are expecting a top-notch change-maker one from Nokia. At least it should be with flagship android specs. Not many people would pay the 'Nokia premium' for the specs of this ph

Actually, it's not aiming at protecting local music industry, if so they would do that years ago. It's more like to push political/business pressure on South Korea to stop them installing THAAD.

I am not sure there are 'so many' especially in big cities, but quite a few comparing to the developed world.
