with devices having unified memory now we are no longer limited to what can fit inside of a 3090 anymore. consumer hardware can have hundreds of gigabytes of memory now, is it really not able to fit in that?

on macos with lm-studio is it better to use the mlx-community releases over the one that lm-studio releases? also I didn't install a beta and mine says i'm using 3.5 which is what the beta also says. is there a difference right no

they run through virtualization which is clunky to interface with across boundaries and introduces overhead. I also don't think it has any hardware acceleration for things that would benefit from using the gpu.

it works on asahi without issue. that is with x86 to arm translation, directx to vulkan translation, windows to linux translation and 4k page to 16k page translation running in a virtual machine. as for how well fromsoft games run on window
