Exactly. the problem with email tools is that it's built by people who think everyone receives thousands of emails. 99.999% of the world only receives less than 10 emails per day. They have no such problem as "information overload

I would disagree. Before iPhone, all the phone vendors and telecom vendors tried to create their own sketchy "platform". Also I would say "apart from gamers, people just don't want it" is the same reaction as people

I don't use 4chan but always assumed they never had a mod and that was the whole point of the site. Interesting! Who exactly is the mod?

Gmail consolidation is happening not because of some evil plan, it's happening because of the economics. In fact it's exactly the same reason why Mozilla is increasingly not sustainable. Email hosting is simply not a lucrative bus

Most people only need to know git commit, git push, git pull, and just a handful of commands. It is by design that something like this is not included into the original interface. It would be. terrible design.

This has nothing to do with my argument. My point is that the reality is a huge chunk of internet usage does not happen inside a browser. Whether it's a good idea or not is irrelevant. The fact that there exists a Microsoft Word powere

You could make a case that most internet platforms are increasingly social. Think about what would be left if you took away all "social" apps from the internet. Even if we don't go that far, think about non-social online apps

The issue is not the fact that Google owns the web. It is that the web itself has become decimated to the point where a company like Mozilla does not have a future. Facebook, Uber, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc. None of them ar

Bitcoin was not designed as a state machine, but as a way to store transactions which can be used to construct a state machine offchain. Ethereum tries to implement a fully self contained state machine in its system. This is where all its p

It's interesting how the industry is shaking up in so many different ways lately. 1. TikTok and WeChat getting banned (This will also have a huge side effect for Apple) 2. Uber and Lyft regulated to classify drivers as employees 3. Inf
