I think it's a fantastic project! Seems like a lot of what I want in a desktop. Looking forward to the new posts.

A related sort of idea, which has been posted to HN before but never gotten a huge amount of attention is the Arcan project [1]. Basically an interesting implementation of a display server and desktop environment being worked on by a lone d

In my opinion, animations should be like reverb in music. If it's noticeable, you're probably using too much (surf music excepted). A little bit of animation can smooth things out and enhance the experience with helpful cues. Too

I'll echo GeoffKnauth, I'm glad to have paid you for several of your books. I'm looking forward to starting the introduction to Klong book, as I find array languages fascinating but there's a regrettable lack of beginner

I would be hard pressed to come up with a coherent genre for what I play, I guess it's really a hodge-podge of everything I've been exposed to musically. I like it a lot. I'd say I play 95% in P4 now, after starting about 3 m

Pretty cool! I made something like this a few years ago, but nowhere near as sophisticated. One suggestion: as of late I've been playing guitar in perfect 4ths tuning, and it would be helpful to be able to change the tuning of individu
