Fair enough! My biggest struggle taking AA was also remembering the definitions of everything. There are so many things all tied together.

It seems to me that the definition presented there is relatively free of jargon, except the "in other words" section which links it to other (linked) structures.

I dislike pass because it doesn't encrypt all information in the typical configuration. Its simplicity is nice.

The contents of the second audit in particular deeply troubled me. Lots of simple but grevious mistakes. It's nice that they got the audit though.

I've been playing with this for the past few weeks. It's a lot of fun compared to Verilog or VHDL. The implementation is still young, though, and it's pretty easy to trigger an undecipherable crash. But I haven't had any

I find it difficult to believe that the rise of Docker (which is a tool for easily separating processes ) isn't inversely releated with people forgetting this! It is a valid point, but it's presented here in the wrong packaging.

This is the kind of link that makes me scratch my head when I see it on HN, because my preconceived notion of "hacker" includes "understands operating systems", in which case this knowledge is old hat (as he acknowledges

You should try your hand at deobfuscation of a VM bytecode like actionscript (flash), CLR, or JVM. I suspect that will give you good practice with dealing with "strange naming conventions" ;)

Excellent article, but my first reaction was "Goodness, that's an awfully punny title". It still gives me fuzzies, but I can't tell if it's intentional or not.
