I found some documentation. This is supposed to be an enumeration of all the data that the _application_ collects from the phone. It's surprising to see that the app is collecting health data, presumably the phone prompts a person to g

Back in the day I had a Windows NT 3.51 machine sitting on my desk, right next to a HP 9000 workstation (PA-RISC) running HP-UX; I do not remember the NT machine being this responsive. It wasn't terrible but I did most of my work on th

I believe NASA does use RHEL, I remember a story last year where they were moving some systems from SUSE to RHEL. My guess is that IBM was so difficult to deal with that they decided to move away from RHEL wherever they could. Perhaps getti

This entire article is weak on the work-from-office advantages. While they claim that some companies have "run the numbers," unfortunately no factual data from this number running has made it into the article.

In the train example, the UI is in place to prevent a person from making a dangerous route. I think the idea here is that an LLM cannot take the place of such a UI as they are inherently unreliable.

IMHO, Reddit's charging such a high price for API access that it's as good as unattainable is more of a last straw then anything else. Reddit has been clear that they view the data as their sole property, when you think it through

This is something these companies, who are so eager to have people in the office, could easily change. With space so inexpensive and after the many layoffs, why not add more private offices for those who do come in?
