Yes it’s possible to use a transfer plate to adapt cookware that’s not induction compatible, but it’s very inefficient. One of the benefits I appreciate of induction cooking is not heating up my house while cooking - a transfer plate would

No that’s not true for induction - the controls are immediate and very precise.

I typically set a timer as reminder to switch the laundry from the washing machine to the dryer by voice, e.g “ok Google set a 1 hour timer”. Or I set a timer in my phone. You must have a lot of free time if you’re engineering anything more

I totally agree. I use my Instapot all the time. Another game changer for me is the Anova Precision Oven. Baking with steam and the ability to quickly and precisely switch between different baking methods is great.

I had a similar experience biking on Mnt Tam. It was pretty amazing. I also recall it being pretty hot and sunny on the way up and the way down and it only being cold, foggy and wet at the very top. The contrast made even more magical.

Totally agree. The old UI was much better. I think they ignored who uses the console. If I’m trying to load a UI with thousands of resources server side rendering is much faster. The new UI is frustrating. Luckily we mostly use cdk for ter

Yes thin carbon steel cookware warps. My wok is a good example of that. But there plenty of high quality thick carbon steel cookware on the market that’s stronger. What do you mean it leaks oil? I’ve never noticed any like that.

Cracking the glass of a induction cooktop is still a problem. So I recommend carbon steel over cast iron for this purpose. They’re similar in that they both need to be seasoned. But carbon steel is much lighter and it’s smooth unlike most m

Getting a bit off topic here, but I’d like to learn more about this… In most cases wouldn’t you need to run a thicker wire to replace a 120v outlet with 240v?

cdktf doesn’t really help with state problems in my opinion. Under the hood terraform is still storing state and if you’re working on a team you’ll need to share state, e.g to s3. If you don’t have any state and try to make a change, terraf

Costco delivery is available via Instacart. They also have a rebranded version of the Instacart website here which might avoid some fees: http://sameday.costco.com Maybe this isn’t available in your area…

I'll add that a lot of kids bike to school in Davis. I'm mostly disappointed that more adults don't bike as much as I'd expect.

I live in Davis. Biking is great here, but it’s not perfect. The network of bike trails has been poorly maintained. The asphalt is badly cracked, which makes for a very bumpy and uncomfortable ride. There are plenty of bike lanes on most st

I used the intercooler, which is the predecessor to htmlx and really liked it. I plan to use htmlx on my next web development project. I recently took a look at Hotwire and Unpoly just to make sure I wasn’t missing out on something better.

I’m not familiar with dotnet, but I’m not sure if blaming Python is the problem. A more even comparable rewrite would have been FastApi with an asynchronous library for Postgres (such as SQL Alchemy or TortoiseORM). There are probably ways
