FSCK or ARGH would be funny symbols. Honestly, I wouldn't care much about what it was called at that point. My eyes would be big glazed-over dollar-signs.

A big shot marketing guy at my day job (large company) started promoting Yammer as a "great way to share ideas and information". But, no proprietary or internal only communications please, since its on offsite servers. WTF?

I think whether these web apps run on my desktop, or sync/migrate to a virtual instance, should be completely transparent to me as a user. I assume a virtual instance would be necessary to keep continuity when accessing through mobile devi

I'd like to see malls in the US become more like those in Singapore. Supermarkets, fresh fruit stands, top-notch restaurants and amazing food courts. A reflexology clinic here & there would be nice too :) Of course, malls in Singapore

Back when I went to school (mid-90s), our computer lab was a bunch of orange-screen vt220s connected to a Vax cluster. We didn't have fancy NCSA Mosaic like UT, we had Lynx and gopher. We learned C on a VAX with a broken scanf. Students

One also must consider that the IMF and the people associated with the IMF probably have their own agenda, and the US has unique resources at its disposal. Makes for a good headline though, doesn't it?

I can honestly say this is not the case in my experience. When we visit someone who has cable, its a shock similar to the one I feel when I install a new Firefox that doesn't have NoScript yet. There's all these interruptions, lame cliffh

I prefer 2b: If you feel angry (real anger is not a choice), express it in a passionate but productive way, and stir others into action. Anger can be powerful and useful when its righteous anger directed appropriately. Think about Jesus
