And I wish Sun had used a different (more widely accepted) license when open sourcing stuff, so that we would be using an enhanced version of Solaris Zones.

Coraid used to build and sell systems based on Plan9, but I believe they don't exist anymore, though I don't mean to imply Plan9 was at fault, quite the contrary.

I tried cloning the repo and it hangs at 67%, so I kinda got suspicious and killed git. Hmm, maybe it's just a large repo, but being from GCHQ one cannot help but feel suspicious.

Wait, the GCHQ has a GitHub profile where they share a Graph Database engine. Interesting.

Not secret group, I don't believe in stuff. I should have been clearer and say that part of the government likely has a body which controls and influences the policy of the CIA. Sorry for my imprecise wording.

Oh, they're not alone in it but operate globally and are a repeat offender. It seems that they took over from Britain right after those started the whole two-state/one-state debacle in the middle east. Before that, Britain was the

Well, they could start by actually operating on the intel they have, rather than letting people bomb buildings because they have a long-term goal they don't want to be disturbed by revealing a bomb plot.

The difference between Ubuntu and the two variants you mentioned is solely on the application layer and as long as they don't use the buggy KDE5 connection manager applet, WiFi won't be affected by Xubuntu or Lubuntu. So this boil

That wasn't my impression, but I'm not qualified to judge the diffs on the code level, so I'll note that their changes may possibly be of lower quality than they are advertised.

HN's dupe finder isn't perfect and it has no sections, so rather than having new submissions I thought it'd be better to reuse existing entries. That said, I can see how my comment may appear as it did to you, but that wasn&#

The CIA is the reason for most of the unstable regions and it's hard to understand how after messing with other places and making it worse for everybody but weapons manufacturers, they're still doing the same thing over and over.

FWIW, Hammer on DragonflyBSD can rebalance and dedup with little memory and doesn't take long, but details matter and the comparison may not be fair. What's rebalance in ZFS might be something much more trivial and less effective

I know, but I've heard that it can run Linux on OS X, so I was wondering if it now boots kernels as well. Basically, Docker is ezjail with financial backing and PR.

VFS is a good example of something that's hairy and easy to introduce regressions affecting everyone. That's why Al Viro dissects stuff in detail. Most regressions are introduced in hardware drivers and those are the largest part

Personalities and history of GRsecurity not taken seriously in the past led to a grumpy Spender who now has a hard time collaborating with kernel.org when they are actually funding work in the space. At least that's my impression from

ext4 isn't a rewrite and magnitudes smaller in code size and complexity, so the comparison isn't really fair.

So, isn't there a way to set aside a buffer space so that you don't run into ENOSPACE problems? Maybe like ext's 5% reserve.

It's strange that Lenovo's laptop IPS panels are not as good as desktop IPS or VA panels, but they're okay to code on. Are there real IPS or VA panels that look great from any angle like a display on your desk?
