AFAIK it's DKMS'ed just like Nvidia's kernel driver, so it's a user decision, just like media codec installation. Also, OpenZFS doesn't reuse kernel interfaces it's not allowed to, and that's why they carr

Isn't that just for the default dedup implementation where it's suggested to have 2-5GB per TB? HAMMER fs can dedup with little RAM, but the ZFS devs aren't ignorant or uninformed, so I would expect them to have a plan to rem

Assuming Github's ToS applied here, it's unlikely that the project owners would have succeeded in keeping the content as is on github by arguing for it. This is regardless of the legitimacy of the content. Being on Github isn'

Thanks for the link. As arcanist is the php-based client to speak to Phab, does this mean it's a user setting only and is fully respected by Phab, meaning it's something set on first publishing of a diff and kept in that setting?

With Firefox's move to the new Chrome-inspired extensions framework, I hope it's able to provide the required hooks to implement a capable ad blocker. That is, if you compare what ads get through uBlock Origin in Chrome vs uBlock

Fair point, but it's important not to fool ourselves in terms of data safety or at least specify what we mean when we say "it's private on your vps". If your code is private and not meant to fall into external hands, the

No, I'm saying that this whole event looks amateurish, without careful planning and coordination beforehand, which would have avoided the need to idle in a chat room, waiting for instructions. The generals involved surely had secure me

If you read the alleged chat logs of how they coordinated the event, you will see that there was little coordination to begin with, regardless of the medium. If there had been proper planning, they first of all wouldn't have used a cha

Doesn't really matter. If you're doing something that's risking your or someone else's lives, you better be sure about the security aspects of a tool. Neither WhatsApp nor Signal are it because you're still trusting
