I recently did exactly this, so here's my experience. Your circumstances might be different so I will frame this as my experience rather than specific advice for you. For some context, we had no family close by for help, but we both ha

In the case of static HTML/JS/CSS, the webserver will make the source publicly available to your browser anyway, so that's not really an issue.

I had more or less exactly the same idea, and my starting point is a script that downloads a page, runs it through Mozilla's Readability library (which Firefox uses for reader mode), converts to Markdown and saves to file. Thinking abo

If you want to hear more about this from the man himself, Rand Miller has a great video with Ars Technica: https://youtu.be/EWX5B6cD4_4 And extended edition: https://youtu.be/5qxg0ykOcgM

I have a very vivid memory of following a tutorial for Game Maker which guided you through building an Asteroids clone. There was a section on programming the gun, where you had a variable canShoot which is set to false after each shot and

The Imposter (2012). It almost feels like a spoiler to tell you it's a documentary, the story is so incredibly gripping and the performances so great you get sucked in completely and forget that the lead isn't actually the hero.

Not quite all of what you're after but you might enjoy But How Do It Know?, which can fairly easily be found in PDF form if you do a Google search.

This was a great read, I love all great Feynman stories. This quote really stood out for me >Because even when Richard didn't understand, he always seemed to understand better than the rest of us. And whatever he understood, he coul

Ooh interesting constraint. The Goal: A Business Graphic Novel[1] is just a little over 100 pages but very easy to read in a single sitting so surely still counts. It's more-or-less the same as the full novel, which is what inspired Th
