Probably better is something like tasks.hotosm.org's "Done" and "Reviewed" approach, and requiring accounts. Obvious vandalism attracts a ban quickly.

Hah. Worked with ThoughtWorks for a year as a client on a particular project, and fought tooth and nail for many of the things highlighted here (Postgres, living style sheets). Liking this vindicated feeling right now

I work with a number of staff in the same spot you are. A year is unlikely to cut it re overseas clients. With hiring one of the most impressive things is open source work or blogging about how to do things: seniors do this from frustration

Meh. Already possible with systems like TheThingSystem or Ninjablocks - there are rough edges, but there's a convergence of protocols and platforms taking place in the open source space. I predict that these sort of things may be slick

I remember the FF bugs for removing it suggested only 7 percent of people used it. What frustrates me is that 7 percent x web scale is not a small figure; and many of those were curators - prepping info for others.
