Doubleclick is their adserving platform. Thus, the engine behind Google's profits. Ever heard of Performics, ConnectCommerce or DART?

Would love to read this if it wasn't for Wordpress using OnSwipe. Why is this awful startup breaking website usability?

At the bottom they state "Your ads preferences only apply in this browser on this computer. They are reset if you delete your browser's cookies." You probably cleared your cookies already or are using a browser you don't normally use. I'm g

PPC ads in Google SERPs are a great thing because they're keyword-based, highly relevant and targeted. The problem with ads starts to happen when we get into behavioral targeting, remarketing/retargeting, data exchanges, etc. This is where

I'm describing Airbnb averting a PR nightmare (which this has become). This is a pretty valuable lesson for any startup.

Now you have to be an insurance company to do the "right thing"? Airbnb had a chance to take care of this from the very beginning and we wouldn't even be talking about this right now if they had. That's the point.

Stop. There is no value in maintaining shallow social connections. Work on making your actual friendships stronger instead of having 1000 acquaintances on Facebook. Your life has not been improved by Facebook beyond regular old email.
