Yes, this is exactly how I use Doom. When I first found it, I transplanted its startup optimizations into my existing config, but left everything else alone. When I look to do something new in Emacs, one of my first instincts is "well,

On more reflection... the support of p is finite, so the prior ought to be proper.

That's fine. With one, (still) cheap subscription I'm entertaining people in three different households right now. It's well worth it. I don't even like much of the content on Netflix anymore, I'm just glad I can en

Swap control and alt so that you can hit Control with your thumb. The thumb is much stronger than the pinky.

My new hobby is... I bought an old house. Now a lot of "free" time is spent on maintaining and improving this old house. I'm learning a great set of new skills that my apartment dwelling self didn't care about.

Despite constantly reading on this website that R is bad or wrong, I somehow manage to get all of my data work done quicker and with fewer headaches than excel, sas, or Python.

Saw this comment on Reddit, but why doesn't Vanguard or Fidelity create an index fund that tracks these traded commodities? If the information is truly valuable, then it would make sense to package it up and sell it.

There is a reason that statisticians love R. It's because the alternative to R for statistical work is SAS, not python. Compared to SAS, R is a godsend.

Strongly Agree! ESS is an incredible environment for statistical work, but I don't think it supports Python. There is some minimal support for Julia, but it's not quite as well supported as R.
