I honestly thought Trips was a nice product. Hopefully the usefulness of the application lives on somewhere in Google. When I went to Shanghai the fist time it was incredibly useful to have downloaded reservations as my Google Fi SIM wasn

I did a penetration test for $NATIONALINSURER and they had an FTP site with weak credentials where all the remote offices uploaded claims. Millions of records and scans of SSNs, home addresses, bank information, etc. Their mitigating contro

While the CNN list feels somewhat variable, I'd highly recommend visiting countries that aren't on any "top destination" lists. I just got back from a trip that included Kyiv and Minsk, and I'd have to say that Min

Ah sadly it's $10K plus. At this point I'm just opening an account in Hong Kong. They do CNY conversion and wires now which is amazing.

Transferwise enables me to be successful working in Asia. The only downside is that they don't do CNY yet, otherwise I'd use them exclusively. Using banks internationally is incredibly painful and ripe for disruption.

I do low latency network architectue for HFTs; I'm not sure there's a real world application for shaving 50us off a latency for a route outside of this industry. That said I've been impressed with Cloudflares consistent globa
