Seems that mojombo practices what he preaches. First commit by mojombo (from march 29, 2010) of Github's Gollum wiki reads "readme driven development!" http://github.com/github/gollum/commit/c7875704971be998a5399...

Cool, hopefully will make it. (btw, did anyone else from San Diego attend the YC 'Work at a Startup'? I went: http://clemesha.org/blog/2010/jun/22/my-experience-at-ycombi... and would love to talk more about experiences, etc. It was a ver

Very cool stuff, hopefully. To quote the beginning of the "What about my web app?" section This ten step tutorial shows how a client can interact with Hookbox. Adding web app integration is also trivial. I can tell you, combining

See if http://codenode.org ( http://github.com/codenode/codenode ) interests you. It's BSD license, and a very cool project imho. Someone good at JavaScript / jQuery is needed.

Why is it develop and have announced? I have a (couple) side projects that I haven't "announced" on HN, was going to submit, but then I noticed the required "HN Announcement URL". Maybe my problem is that I just haven't "announced it on H

Google's "Parisian Love" ad is an extremely potent, real world example of using similar emotions to sell a product: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnsSUqgkDwU

What about the 2nd comment on the post, by "Sean O"? Javascript/Ajax has been fundamental to "new-age" tech giants. See Google's Gmail.

Does dropbox.com take offense (legally or otherwise?) that this app has the exact string "dropbox" in it's name? EDIT: I'm interested in the trademark implications mostly, are there any?

What about geolocation or using the phone's built-in camera, is/will this at all be possible from HTML5 apps? Those features are a huge incentive to create mobile apps, imo.

Is this actually true? Or is it more that we "hear" (listen and remember) about this type of "great" companies? (This is definitely more of an honest question than some sort of inadvertently negative response.)

Good point. When a project is clearly going no where, it's worth it (but not easy) to fail it and move on. I've personally have had this experience, and although failing a project hurts, it ultimately frees up time to move on to bigger and

Damn, I really, really agree with this: I know that while it’s important to write quality software, it’s equally important to just fucking finish it.

Holy shit, this Facebook situation is turning into a full-on witch hunt. Mostly the intense criticism is warranted, but I feel as though a lot of levelheadedness is starting to go out the window.

No patch has been accepted (unless I mis-understood what you are saying). In fact, if it's not totally obvious to everyone that timf is the one that committed the latest commit, then this demonstration is noteworthy.

Ok, that is actually very funny :) I definitely did not think of this when I asked the question, but if it turns out there is no project "similar to rubber, but for Fabric", I may start one, and I'll most certainly call it "Spandex".
