I find the 'unread messages count' to be extremely distracting when I'm trying to actually get real work done. Through the corner of my eye, I'm constantly glancing and thinking: did it just increment? Just keep your email closed until you

I have a real-time, multiplayer online game ( http://TheWikiGame.com - built with XMPP + Redis + Django), and I can say it's been one hell of a learning experience. The features you build and test on your local machine or private cloud ins

Why are people so consistently negative about Wikipedia? Just looking at the top comments here, and other places around the internet - I think it's far too common. Let's be more positive. Wikipedia is amazing - congrats to them for successf

I don't have more info on that statement, but it reminds me of this: When a company is filled with engineers, it turns to engineering to solve problems. Reduce each decision to a simple logic problem. From here: http:/

Thanks. Yeah, the front page is pretty messy/busy - any simple ideas to make it cleaner? It's just me working on the game, part time right now, and it's the first game I've made.

Awesome, thanks! I love hearing about people who invented the game - people tell me all the time, "hey, I invented that!" :-) I certainly did not invent the game, but I'm determined to make something awesome out of it.

Check out my app: http://thewikigame.com that is of a "similar" type. The "Hitler Wikipedia Game" is a "game type" that is a favorite of a lot of people. Another instance of that type is "N clicks to Hitler / N clicks to Jesus", etc.
