If data needs to agree PKs and FKs are a way to go. I avoid UNIQUES unless absolutely necessary since they are not structural. Reference tables for things that don't change or change very seldom are a valuable tool if data across othe

A flat tax is regressive. It affects the poor more since each marginal dollar affects their lifestyle to a greater degree. It is the difference between not being able to afford childcare and not being able to afford a second vacation home.

Estimates are always wrong only if they are concrete estimates as if they were certain. If, instead, they are 90% ranges (I am 90% sure that this will be done between x and y) then it is much easier to estimate accurately. It is also easie

I would agree with you only if those that choose prostitution are doing it completely of their own free will. This means not only not being actively forced but passively forced through desperate circumstances. I don't think our social

>An Alexa device can operate on its own. Can it? I don't know how much I'd use Alexa if it weren't for Spotify. There are some native apps but its real value is in the 3rd party apps it connects to.

That's the thing about USPs...most are idealized possibilities not yet realized. I mean, look at VR and AR and, hell, even AI. But AI is not useless even though it hasn't reached it generalized intelligence promise. It is adding

Alexa is just an input/output device. It is limited, which is OK but that means there will not be a 'runaway hit'. There's just not enough of a surface area for something so comprehensive. It's like saying 'T

Your analysis assumes that all monopolies are created equal -- that a monopoly on violence is the same as a monopoly on a commodity. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I cannot figure out how you came to the conclusion that poverty and exploitation are structural elements to capitalism. In fact, I believe the opposite is true: that capitalism succeeds despite the drag that decisions made under desperate p

Ok. We found a good move. But did we find the best move? Or, somewhat more weakly, can we find a better move? Don't let the good be the enemy of the better.

It's like a law against harrassment...it requires human judgment. Some harassment is obvious. Some depend on perspective. Enforcing harassment laws can still be justice even though it is arbitrary and vague. Hell, if laws weren'
