This article is talking about apps that are in the app store, but in the case of iOS are basically just UIWebViews. Exposure is some of the reason they aren't mere mobile sites. Since UIWebViews those lack access to the Nitro javascript eng

Isn't it fun to explain that to provide SSO to Office 365 you effectively need 8+ ADFS servers and a couple of pairs of load balancers (or NLB) spread across at least two data center locations?[1] At least now dirsync is 64-bit so they've r

You may be thinking of a Steelcase Leap or similar. The Aeron armrests don't slide in, they just pivot. I just had to look up the guide http://www.hermanmiller.com/content/dam/hermanmiller/documen...

Interestingly, Android was much better about application permissions for some time. These days though, it seems iOS allows users to have more control. On iOS, for reference, one could install Path but then deny it notification permission (o

Apple added this feature after the previous privacy gaffe from Path. Still though, there's a legitimate use case for asking for your contacts, and it is to help connect you with people you may know who are also on path. You also give them a

Deactivating your account just effectively hides your profile. You're only a couple clicks away from having it all restored if you so choose. They seem quite good at finding ways to screw up, surely they can still find a way to do this unti

In Seattle it shows a snow-capped volcano (Mount Rainier), an illustrated version of the Space Needle, the Pike Place Market sign, and a couple downtown buildings from the viewpoint of Kerry Park[1]. They have a generic rotation of images p

I feel your pain. I'm also unable to go the ceiling light route (solid concrete floors and ceilings). The best solution I've found is sticking a wireless switch on the wall next to the regular light switches. There are ones that look like a

The news, I think, is that there is a software company (actually an institute) just for people with an ASD, with training to help them focus their {personality|condition|disability} into something positive.

FWIW, a Mac mini server is a regular mini with two 2.5" hard drives (not hot-swappable or even user accessible) and a token to download Server.app from the App Store. Apple can't even be bothered to list a rack mount kit or 220V PDU-compati

This is how it goes with most service roll outs. If the people in the suburbs are really miffed that they aren't one of the first areas picked for Google Fiber, perhaps they should consider the downsides of living in the sprawl. Congrats to
