Making this a R vs D thing is silly. Vietnam was Democrat president. Obama has extended our current wars. Most of our wars have had public support at the beginning, and lost them over time. And as you noted, we've also been instrumenta

You act like someone else in her position would have done something different. Everyone hated Bush. Spending too much money, unnecessary war, over reaching surveillance. Obama will be our hope and change! Yay! Hmm, spending significantly mo

Yeah, and that's what really makes this not a great article, and it's why I added the last point to my comment. The article starts off as if we're going to talk about this great injustice and then uses an anecdote that says t

Perhaps it is slightly unfair, but I think they are reasonable assumptions based on the information given. 1. Worked in tech for 30 years (which implies pretty good salary) along with actual number of 150k for at least some of those years.

I hate to be that guy, and I'm going to sound like an ass, but this is 100% his doing. Software worker in Palo Alto for 30 years making as much as 150k has no excuse. Save some money stupid. Also, when you get fired and can't find

Yeah, the game is dominated by the nullsec alliances, but I mostly don't notice the mocking. If you want to be active in the forums yeah it can get annoying, but if you just want to relax and do some PVE you'll never notice it. P.

Eve really is as fun as it sounds in the articles, for a few hours every couple of months. Unfortunately, you have to "work" for many more hours than that to get to the fun parts that spontaneously happen every few months. Now, if

As an app developer, I like this trend. More time on mobile and more time in apps. Both good things for me. That being said, I think the more time in apps vs mobile web might be a bit misleading. How many apps out there have webviews taking

The dev tools have included variable sizing help for several years now. Anything being made now should be using these features to deal with different sized phones, even if just the 4 size and 5 size. Certainly it will make some people'

the old iPhone screens are too small. current isn't bad at all. perhaps a bit smaller than ideal, but not really "too small" (at least it isn't too small for tens of millions of people)

You aren't likely to get apple-speed touch latency outside of apple. They have worked much harder on this than everyone else and do a much better job of it. Sadly for you, I don't see them releasing something that small again. The

Yeah I do some testing on the 4S and it feels tiny now compared the my 5S. As for the typing though, software plays a big part in this too. I absolutely hate the default keyboard on my HTC One and I have no problems with my 5S and even the

There are options between "huge phablet" and the current iPhone size. I've play with the HTC One for development, and while I like my iPhone 5S better, the size is nice. I wouldn't even consider getting a Note, but going

comparing Wii games to phone games is a bit of a stretch. They might be more casual than xbox and ps4, but they are far bigger and better than than phone games. Mario, zelda, candy crush, which one of these is not like the others.

I agree, but comparing an app to the iPhone seems a bit silly to me. This "ripoff" was apparently done in a few weeks and is currently #1 free app in the store. While obviously the original is going to take longer, I'm not su

I'd suggest not spending so much time that you'd have to basically hit the lottery to not lose money on it. There is no "correct" amount of time, but the odds of losing money is really really high when you spend 14 month

Rip-offs are sad, but the fact that you spent 14 months doesn't make it a better game. It means you took too long to make it. Threes is a great game that has done well, but the vast vast majority of mobile apps don't make enough m

This is a really great point. While I don't mind increasing security at the major failure points in the short term, it makes a lot more sense to make the system as a whole more resilient and get rid of the small failure points.
