A good heuristic is that if the damages are less than $20k or so, it doesn't make financial sense to sue. So a lot of small investments through a sketchy or one sided contract can easily allow bad actors to continue to operate for year

Do these things need to be drydocked? We have very fast and aggressive bottom growth where I live, race boats get cleaned every few weeks, cruisers develop a bit of sludge that turns into a full on boat bottom salad pretty quick.

Mostly it's been people working for both at the same time, and then taking the best fare as it comes up. Employers can definitely prevent them from doing that, and then there would be additional friction over who gets to schedule drive
