It's a real thing: in ancient times when I worked on a yearbook staff, we used non-photo blue markers to mark up the physical pages we sent to the publisher. I don't know how these pre-digital reproduction systems excluded the blu

I'm on the VS Pro with MSDN track and paying $799/year. I pay every year, and don't need a perpetual license. Is there any reason why I shouldn't switch to the cloud subscription for $539/year?

The problem is that this messes up version control history. For example, I work on a code base which is 20 years old. It's nice to use 'svn blame' and to get the log message associated with a given line of code and give me in

You're right that it's not an agency endorsement; as I clearly stated and the article clearly states, it is from someone "affiliated" with NASA, the denial of which I was responding to.

10-bit color and 8-bit color are common idioms in the video industry to refer to 30-bit pixels and 24-bit pixels. It makes more sense in video where one often uses the YCrCb colors space where the color components (Cr Cb) are often sampled

The title of this thread literally has the word "NASA" in it! The article is clear that the posting that provides the info for the article is a guy working at Eagle/NASA.

Given that there is no theoretical basis for the device, and that the device's supposed effect is trending towards zero as measurements are made more accurate, it's long past time to throw this into the dustbin of history. This ne

Using an extremely expensive ultra-thin high-resolution touch-sensitive easily-scratched display as a scale is a pretty terrible idea. If Apple allows the app and someone weighs tiny diamonds on the screen, whose fault is it that the displa
